Turshi – A Unique Lunch or Snack

Ageless Woman Healthy Recipe for the Busy Woman

If you love the taste of sushi or sushi rolls but hate the price – or perhaps cannot quite get over the “raw fish” issue – this quick recipe is for you! It’s made with deli turkey and thus the name – TURSHI! Keep an open mind because it is DELICIOUS!

Turshi

Ingredients:

Wrap

2 Nori sheets

4 slices roasted turkey

1/3  cup shredded cabbage

1/4 cup julienne carrots

1/2 small avocado sliced

Wasabi Cream:

1/4 cup sour cream

1/2 teaspoon wasabi paste

1 teaspoon rice vinegar

In a small bowl or ramekin mix up your sour cream, wasabi paste and rice vinegar until smooth and there are no chunks of the wasabi paste.  Taste it to see if it needs more wasabi or more sour cream to your preference.  Take a sheet of nori and spread a spoonful of the wasabi cream across a section horizontally.  Lay 2 slices of turkey across the nori sheet, layer with cabbage, carrots and avocado, add another smear of wasabi cream over the top of your meat and veggies.  Carefully roll up your nori wrap. (see video)  Eat whole or slice in 1/2.

Makes 2 wraps,  plus extra wasabi cream for later!
